昇級後のエッセイ
二級 ベイトマン 真
This year has been another wonderful one with Nakao Sensei coming over
from Japan. For me, Aikido is fun when I find the motivation to go, but
when Nakao Sensei comes, he completely changes the way I look at Aikido.
I am nearly 15 now and have been doing Aikido for nearly 7 and I am so
glad that I have done it. I do range of different sports such as golf,
football, softball/baseball and basketball. Without Aikido, I don’t
think I would’ve been as good at the sports as I am now and I am very
grateful that I started to do it. Every year when Nakao Sensei comes
over does the grading, I get very nervous… almost as nervous as
playing golf in front of quite a few people. But I am now slowly
starting to get used to it, the same with golf. Thank you to Nakao
Sensei and Aikiko-san for another amazing year in England and also in
Japan as well. I shall hope to see everyone at Seibukan in Japan next
year.
And also train more than the 3 times I did this year
中尾先生と明子さんのイギリス訪問は、今年もまた素晴らしいものでした。僕に
とって合気道は、がんばって稽古に行ったときは、とても楽しいものです。でも
中尾先生が来られたときは、いつもの僕の合気道への見方が完全に変わります。
僕はもうすぐ15歳です。そして合気道を始めてから7年近くになります。本当に
合気道を学んでよかったと思います。
僕はゴルフ、ソフトボール/野球、そしてバスケットボールなど、いろんなス
ポーツをやっています。もし合気道をやっていなければ、これらのスポーツが今
みたいに上手にできるとは思えないので、本当に合気道を始めてよかったと思っ
ています。
毎年中尾先生がイギリスに来られるとき、昇級審査を受けます。僕はいつもとて
も緊張します。多くの人々の前でゴルフをするときと同じくらい緊張します。で
も今では昇級審査もゴルフも、ゆっくりとですが、この緊張感に慣れてき始めま
した。
中尾先生、明子さん、今年もイギリスと日本での素晴らしい稽古をありがとうご
ざいました。また来年も日本のせいぶ館の皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみに
しています。今年は3回しか日本で稽古に行かなかったので、それ以上行くよう
にがんばります。
